Nanotol nano coating replaces the expensive lotus effect coating by the optician. Finally, spectacle lenses can be refined in such a way that they repel dirt and dust. Cleaning is therefore very easy and gentle. The invisible protective layer also counteracts scratches caused by conventional cleaning.

The basic nano coating with the Nanotol Display & Glasses Set is done quickly and easily. You clean the surface with Nanotol Cleaner, apply the nano coating with Nanotol Protector and polish it after drying with the Nanotol microfibre cloth.

After the basic nano coating with Nanotol Cleaner and Nanotol Protector, you only need the Nanotol microfibre cloth for cleaning. The basic coating set also includes the refresher and a Nanotol microfibre cloth. However, we recommend additional microfibre cloths so that you always have one at hand. Because that's all you need for cleaning.

This is how easy it is to nano coat your glasses or displays with Nanotol
Basic coating for glasses:

Clean the glasses with Nanotol Cleaner (1).
To do this, spray the cleaner onto the lenses and optionally also onto the frame. Spread the cleaner with your fingers and rinse off dirt and cleaner residues under the water pipe. Finally, dry the lenses with the enclosed microfibre cloth. -
Applying the Nanotol Protector nano coating (2)
Apply the Protector evenly to the lenses and put the glasses aside until the Protector has dried. A grey haze is formed. -
Activate the nanopolymers with the Nanotol microfibre cloth.
After drying, polish the lenses with the microfibre cloth until the grey haze is gone. This activates the nanopolymers and you will feel the smoothing of the surface.

Refreshment + Care
After a few weeks or months (depending on use), we recommend refreshing. Nanotol 2in1 cleans and coats in one step and refills imperfections. Already coated surfaces remain active and dirt-repellent for longer - as long as you want.
Nanotol 2in1 is simply sprayed onto the surface, distributed and then polished with the microfiber cloth. That's all!

General questions about Nanotol
Why do glasses stay clean longer with Nanotol?
- The surface of the eyeglasses is noticeably smoothed by Nanotol and therefore repels dirt. Less dirt settles on it.
- The glass surface is polarised by Nanotol and thus dust-repellent.
Can I continue to clean the glasses with washing-up liquid?
Many glasses wearers clean their glasses once a day with washing-up liquid under the tap. However you should be aware of the following:
- Washing-up liquids contain anionic surfactants. These have negatively charged free particles and thus attract dust. This is the reason why cleaning with washing-up liquids has to be repeated daily.
- Washing-up liquids make the glass surface noticeably dull. Dirt and dust can therefore adhere particularly well.
After coating with Nanotol, the glass is antistatic and repels dirt and dust. If you want, you can continue to rinse the glasses daily under water. You should no longer use washing-up liquid, because it neutralises the antistatic coating. Daily cleaning is no longer necessary anyway. For hygienic cleaning, it is sufficient to remove grease and dirt with the dry Nanotol microfibre cloth.
How often do you have to clean the glasses after coating them with Nanotol?
This varies and of course depends on the situation. But basically it is sufficient to clean glasses once a day with the dry microfibre cloth and rinse under the tap every few days to remove dirt and grease from the corners as well.
Can I still use cleaning sprays for glasses after coating with Nanotol?
No, because these contain alcohol or other solvents and will harm the antistatic protective layer on the glasses.
Can I also protect the frame with the Nanotol nano coating?
Yes, even the frame of the glasses, no matter what material, becomes dirt-repellent and can be cleaned hygienically quickly and easily under the tap, after the nano coating with Nanotol.
What is the difference between normal cleaning sprays for glasses and nano coating with Nanotol?
The difference lies in the static charge of the outer surface.
The surface is negatively charged by "normal" alcohol-based cleaners for eyeglasses or by conventional cleaning agents. This results in a dirt and dust attracting effect.
Nanotol, however, does not charge the surface but creates an antistatic layer. This repels dust and the glasses stay clean longer and are easier to clean.
