Product Benefits:
How to Apply Nanotol Protector on Stone Surfaces Applying Nanotol Protector for Stone Surfaces is incredibly straightforward.
Simply spray the surface until you feel that the Protector has penetrated every pore. We recommend working twice back-to-back, wet-on-wet. On the second application, the Protector will only fill the still "dry" pores.
Afterward, all you need to do is let the surface dry. We suggest waiting for at least 24 hours. During this period, it should not rain.
Because Nanotol stone impregnation reduces moss growth and therefore causes less discoloration. The surface remains beautiful and like new for longer. Nanotol stone impregnation allows water to roll off roof tiles or concrete. This prevents dirt particles and spores from being transported into the stone with rainwater. Moss growth is deprived of its food source. Stones sealed with Nanotol stone impregnation receive long-lasting, perfect protection against the effects of weather. Ideal for open-pored walls, roofs, paved terraces, gravestones, and much more.
Absolutely not.
Nanotol is completely harmless to humans and animals.
Nanotol Protector stone sealer has been tested extensively and was developed specifically for end users. Since the sealer does not contain any solvents, there is no unpleasant odor.
The clearest indicator is the stone's absorbency. If water no longer beads up when it rains but instead discolors the stone (because it is absorbed), the surface tension has decreased.
Professional check: Pour a glass of water onto a dry spot. If it is absorbed within 60 seconds, refurbishment is advisable.
No. The beading effect is the top protective layer. Even when this wears off, the nanopolymers remain deep in the pores (deep protection). The stone therefore remains protected against frost damage and deep-seated oil stains, but cleaning becomes a little more difficult again.
No, that's the big advantage of Nanotol. Unlike paints or resins, Nanotol does not need to be sanded down. The surface is simply cleaned thoroughly (to remove dust and biofilms) and then a new coat of Nanotol can be applied directly. The new nanopolymers bond seamlessly with the existing residues.
No. Nanotol does not form a coating in the traditional sense (like a varnish). The look and feel remain 100% unchanged. There is no artificial shine and no “wet effect.” After treatment, the stone looks exactly the same as before—it just stays cleaner.
You can, but you don't have to – and you shouldn't. A hard jet of water acts as mechanical stress on the sealant. Since the dirt no longer sticks thanks to Nanotol, in 90% of cases a normal garden hose and a soft broom are completely sufficient. This protects the sealant and the stone.
Nanotol stone impregnation is a further development of Nanotol Protector for mineral surfaces. The new impregnation is PFAS-free and has a greater beading effect than before, but is no longer oil and grease repellent.

Why Coat Roof Tiles?
Over the years, roof tiles lose their protective function due to rain, UV radiation, frost, and aggressive environmental factors. If water can penetrate, it leads to frost damage, moss growth, and unsightly discolorations.
Coating with Nanotol reduces these damages and significantly increases the lifespan. The "roof coating" is a cost-effective alternative to re-roofing when no major damages are present. Porous tiles and roof stones are better at repelling water and dirt.
This measure is significantly less expensive than re-roofing and can last for 10 years – thus, the roof that was actually to be replaced can continue to be used.
The coating does not affect the vapor permeability and thus the mold resistance.

On stone terraces, hydrophobization is a sensible measure for preserving value against moss formation and discoloration. On horizontal surfaces, however, water drainage should always be ensured. A slight incline is enough to allow the rainwater to flow off. If there is any puddle formation, it should be expected that moisture can penetrate the stone due to prolonged water pressure. Coating with Nanotol ensures that contaminants can be removed much more easily.

Porous Tiles Unglazed tiles made from zement or materials like Terracotta or natural stone have a porous surface that quickly becomes dirty and is difficult to clean. Dirt typically gets washed into the pores with water. Nanotol is an invisible, water-repellent coating for stone tiles that can absorb water. Nanotol has strong non-stick properties and reduces the adherence of dirt on the tile surface and the stone grout. Nanotol Protector for stone surfaces is
making it ideal for use indoors but also suitable for outdoor areas.
