Do textiles become waterproof with Nanotol?

An impregnation makes an awning or tent water-repellent. This is different from waterproof. Impregnation is meant to prevent the fabric from soaking up water. When water penetrates the fabric, it becomes heavy, takes longer to dry, and often results in mildew stains.

To seal against water, you need an impermeable coating. However, this is no longer breathable.

Can an impregnation be refreshed?

Most textiles or fabric items used outdoors in wind and weather have a water-repellent impregnation when new. But this impregnation does not last forever; it wears out due to weather, sun, rain, abrasion, or simply over time and loses its effectiveness.
