RENEWING
We recommend to renew the nano coating every 6-9 months. Nanotol 2in1 cleans and coats in one step and fills up imperfections. Surfaces already coated with Nanotol remain active and dirt-repellent much longer - as long as you want.
Nanotol 2in1 is simply sprayed onto the wet surface, spread with a cloth and then rinsed off again with the dissolved dirt. That's all!

In the past, only wax products were available to protect sensitive car paint. These had a short service life of a few weeks and also had to be laboriously polished. There was no protection at all for car glass and car rims.
Nano coatings are a simple and time-saving successor to car wax. Car care thus achieves a new quality.

Sustainable cleaning
In the past, dirt on cars could only be removed with aggressive special cleaners, which often damaged sensitive surface. As a result, car paint aged quickly and looked dull.
After the nano coating, dirt on car paint, rims or car glass can simply be removed with water. The investment in nano coating pays off quickly:

General questions about Nanotol
Why does Nanotol keep the car clean longer?
- The surface is noticeably smoothed by Nanotol and therefore repels dirt. Less dirt settles on the surface.
- Since dirt does not stick firmly, it can be easily washed off by rain.
How long does the Nanotol nano coating last on the vehicle?
The basic coating with Nanotol lasts approx. 9-12 months. Depending on the exposure on the surface (miles driven), the entire surface should be refreshed 1-2 times a year with Nanotol Car, Boat & Leisure 1+2.
Water is suffcient for cleaning from time to time. Use a high-pressure cleaner or garden hose in combination with a soft cloth to completely remove the dirt.

Is it possible to use a different pre-cleaner?
Nanotol Protecor can only attach evenly if there are no residues on the surface that could cause chemical interference. These can be caused, for example, by anionic surfactants contained in other cleaning agents or solvents in glass cleaners.
Nanotol Cleaner is perfectly matched to Nanotol Protector and contains very high-quality non-ionic surfactants. The cleaning result is better than with conventional standard cleaning agents. For best results, we recommend to use the Nanotol Cleaner of the appropriate category. Note: Nanotol Cleaners are all different!
My car paint has small scratches. How do I pre-treat the paint?
The procedure for scratched vehicles is as follows:
- Wash the vehicle with the diluted cleaner. Ideally, use desalinated or distilled water.
- Polish the paint with Nanotol polishes. They are perfect prior to coating with Nanotol Protector.
- Spray with Nanotol Protector and spread with a sponge cloth. Allow to dry. Polish with the white microfiber cloths until the surface shines.
Is Nanotol also suitable for new paint?
Yes, Nanotol is perfect for new paint , because it contains neither solvents nor abrasive particles and preserves the paint condition. Car paint keeps looking new.
NOTE: Some of the manufacturers apply a layer of wax on new cars. It is imperative to remove it prior to coating with Nanotol. Use a wax remover from the DIY store or car accessory shop.
Do I need protective equipment for coating my car with Nanotol nano coating?
You don't need neither gloves nor a mask when working with Nanotol. Nanotol cannot enter the body through the skin or lungs because there are no individual free nanoparticles.
Nanotol works with a net structure of nanopolymers. It contains no fragrance or dyes, no alcohol or chlorine. Nanotol is food safe and biodegradable. Learn more
My car has been waxed, can I apply Nanotol anyway?
No, you have to remove the wax first otherwise Nanotol cannot bond with the metal surface.
Where is the difference between the products in the catagories Car, Household and Sanitary?
In order for Nanotol Protector to attach evenly, the surface must be very clean before coating. The pre-treatment/cleaning is therefore very important and differs. In the sanitary area, there are usually limescale residues on the surface, for instance in shower cubicles. It is imperative that these are removed. That is why our Nanotol Cleaner for the sanitary area is acidic. Dirt on cars is often very stubborn. Here, too, the Nanotol Cleaner is effective. In the household area, there are very sensitive surfaces that need to be cleaned carefully. The Cleaner from the household category is therefore very gentle.
Each category has its own Cleaner, which is ideal for preparing the surface for subsequent coating. All cleaners contain no anionic surfactants, no alcohols or solvents and are easily biodegradable.
Consequently, the 2in1 products in the categories also differ because they clean and freshen up.
Stone surfaces can be prepared for Nanotol Protector Mineral Surfaces with a high-pressure cleaner. Textiles are washed and rinsed well before coating with Nanotol Textile Protector. There is no special cleaner for these two areas. However, both can be cleaned with Nanotol Household Cleaner in case of stubborn stains.
Do I still have to preclean with Nanotol Cleaner even on a new car?
Yes, please use Nanotol Cleaner before you start coating with Nanotol Protector. Nanotol Cleaner is optimally preparing the surface for the coating. New cars often have a wax protection. It is imperative to remove the wax prior to coating the surface.
Why is a professional nano coating in garages much more expensive than Nanotol?
That's a good question! You can see the price for the necessary chemicals on this page. For a car, the costs are no more than 30-40 € including all the necessary tools.
Often you have to pay many hundreds of Euros for a "professional ceramic coating" at a garage.The difference is in the working time which is expensive. Beforehand, the paint is usually polished in several processes. The price for this is included in the nano coating package.
Polishing before coating with Nanotol is only necessary if there are deep scratches. Light scratches or holograms caused by car wash facilities, are almost not visible anymore after a Nanotol coating, even without polishing.
How do I remove Nanotol nano coating
If you remove the Nanotol coating from the vehicle, because you want to apply a film, for instance, lather the area with a cleaning agent that contains anionic surfactants. This can be a dishwashing detergent, for example. Let the foam soak for a while, it will harm the nanopolymer structure. Rinse off the soap, degrease and apply the film.
Finally, the Nanotol layer can also be partially renewed over the film.
How long does it take to apply the Nanotol coating to a car?
Coating with Nanotol is quickly done once the car is clean. Spray with Nanotol Protector, spread it with a sponge cloth, then polish the dried surface with a microfibre cloth until it is smooth. This takes about 15-30 minutes.
Cleaning beforehand with Nanotol Cleaner can take a little bit longer, depending on the condition of the vehicle. An accurate cleaning procedure is a mandatory requirement for an even docking of the nanopolymers.
